The Error that Occurred in Our Opening Sequence

We have finished filming now and looking back we have found a error, where you can see one of the casts reflections in the mirror shaking the blinds that should not be there. We are going to try and re-film this shot to make it better. To do this we need all the actors back in the same clothes and same hair style, but if we cannot get all the actors back to re-film we will have to leave it like it is.
This is a screen shot of where the error took place in the mirrors where you can see Saskia in her nighty shaking the blinds. This is not supposed to be there as the angle is quite difficult to film in.

Filming and Preparing For Our Opening Sequence

Whilst we were filming we took a lot of photos of the cast, make up and scenes. We done this so we could capture the steps of what we were doing and how we done the different effects.

This is Jodie trying to wet her hair which I suggested so it would be darker and messy Which would look more 'dead' like so it would be scarier.

This is Kelcie doing Jodie's make-up. She is making around her eyes look dark so she looks messy and 'dead' like.

This is me filming Jodie outside hanging from a tree which we have at the beginning of our opening sequence. We filmed her legs when she was holding on to the tree so it would look like she is hanging.

This is a picture of me setting the camera up ready to film.

This is a shot of me setting up the camera and tripod on the bed to film some high angle shots.

This is a photo of Jodie standing outside getting ready to film the shot in the mirror where she walks towards the house.

This is a photo of jodie practising crawling out from under the bed.

Jodie and Kelcie also did some extra filming where they filmed the start of the opening sequence with jodie skipping and doing hop scotch.

Narrative

"Once your eyes meet with hers, you'll never escape".

Character: Saskia
Saskia is a teenage ghost girl dressed in a white gown, bare feet, with long dark hair, just about covering her pale white face and deep black eyes. She's very still and doesn't move, but when she does it's very sudden and fast. She shows no emotion within her face and her body language is slumpy, her body straight with her head half looking down.

Backstory:
As a child, Saskia was isolated from everyone and everything. No family, no friends since her days as a baby. She was taken n by the orphanage and as she grew older, she was adopted by many families, but was returned after a few weeks. The reason for this is that every family that took her in believe that she is the 'devils child' after experiencing continuous bad luck while she stayed.
At the age of 14, Saskia starts to realise and believes that she's unwanted by everyone. She hears voice in her head which drives her into madness so she escapes from the orphanage and isolates herself from the world, keeping a mirror within her pocket to remind herself that she is a real person and not the 'devil's child'.
Finally, she then becomes weak both physically and mentally and therefore resolves her problems by ending her life.
After her death, her body was found. Her previous foster families were then questioned, but too terrorised mentally to reveal anything that happened while she was with them. This then drove them crazy and every family who took Saskia into care where have said to have gone missing.
This story was passed on from person to person and taken even further. People said that if you say "Saskia, Saskia, where is Saskia?" face to face with a mirror, a ghost girl would appear. This was also said to be a myth which drove people to do it more. This was true until Saskia herself was sick of her existence being carried on, she just wanted to be left alone and forgotten to ridden her pain, yet these people continue to disturb her. She's had enough, so she appears to this so called 'myth' and murders them or mentally kills them.

plot to our opening

We have decided to base our film on the theme of 'The Candy Man', using a character similar to the grudge.

The plot is;
A few friends are having a gathering, they are in one of the friends bedrooms that contains large mirrors. One of the girls then stairs into the mirrors suddenly experiencing a frightening flashback of the ghost Saskia. She then jumps with shock and gets the attention of the other girls, she then gets asked what she jumped for, and she explains to them, the mirrors creep her out because she once called upon a ghost by chanting the words ''Saskia, Saskia, where is Saskia?'' which she never thought would of happened. Her friends don't believe her and start to joke around, laughing at her, causing her to leave. Once she has left the other girls take the joke even further and decide to try out what their friend was telling them, they still don't believe anything will happen so they jokingly chant ''Saskia, Saskia, where is Saskia?'' after this has been said, strange things start to happen within the room, lights turn off, doors slam and the blinds rattle causing the girls to panic, not knowing what is going on. All of a sudden things start to quiet down, and out of no-where a groaning sound is heard by them, they start to panic more, screaming, and then one of the girls takes out a torch on her phone, panning it around the darkened room looking from where the groaning is coming from, once she has turned the phone to face the bed, a mysterious, dead looking girl is there staring at them. the girls stand there in shock un able to move while eyeing back at the ghost girl. Completely standing still, the ghost then lifts up her head, revealing her face, and screams unexpectedly.

Location

Location

The location is going to be in Jodie's house. We are going to use her mothers bedroom as it has a huge mirrors and a big bed.

This is the bed we are going to be using for the girls to be sitting on.

These are the mirrors we will be filming in and the ghost will be called in.

This is a shot of the bed, mirrors and window we will be using.

This is the roundabout you can see out of the window which we might be using for part of our filming.

Our Story boards and Script

These are the story boards that I drew for our opening sequence. They are only rough as we have changed the story a little bit at the end.

This is our script that has slightly changed as there is only three people in the film now.

This is the new script with all the right people

The Script

Jenni: (complaining about Mike.) (Luke answers and suggests things.)

(Keira looks into mirror, has a flash back, and jumps.)

Luke: What’s wrong?
Keira: Nothing.
Jenni: Well something must be wrong.
Keira: Well. The mirrors creep me out.
Luke: Why?
Keira: You know that myth about Saskia?
Luke: The ghost girl in the mirror? (amused)
Keira: Yeah, well I did it and I thought I saw her.
Jenni: Oh wow, should we do it?
Luke: Oh my god! Yeah!
Keira: If you do that then I’m going home.
Jenni: Ah but I really want to do it.
Keira: right, I’m going. (gets up and leaves)
Luke: Where are you going?
Keira: Home.
Luke: Why?
Keira: I’m not staying here if your doing this.
Jeni and Luke: Ahh okay bye.
Keira: Bye.

(8pm)

Luke: Are we actually going to do this?
Jenni: yeah come on, it will be a laugh.
Jenni and Luke: (start calling Saskia. Mocking.)

(lights go out, door slams and blinds rattle. Jenni and Luke panic, turn on torch on phone and see Saskia. They scream and turn away but the door is locked.)

Luke: Its locked!
Jenni: Where is she? (pause) Oh my god! she's coming!

(Shot of Saskia crawling out of bed)
